The Yealink SIP-T44U is a SIP desk phone with a 2.8-inch color screen and dual gigabit ports. It supports up to 12 SIP accounts, but it has eight physical line keys.

The phone has no built-in Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Two USB ports let you add them. You can use any two of these at a time.

Yealink Optima HD Voice and Acoustic Shield give clear calls. A local 5-way conference is built in. The handset has a Hall switch for quiet hook operation. An EHS40 adapter adds electronic hook switch support for wireless headsets.
Two gigabit Ethernet ports link the phone and a computer. PoE powers the phone and uses 2.0 to 4.9 W. A power supply is sold separately.
The handset and the headset each use their own RJ9 jack. A USB headset plugs into one of the USB-A ports instead. Wired Yealink headsets can also sync call controls such as answer, end and mute.
The phone holds two firmware images, so an update that fails can fall back to the old one. Yealink gives all T4U phones the same firmware and the same auto-provisioning template, which helps an admin who runs a mixed fleet. The menus support many languages, and caller ID shows name and number. A power saving mode is built in.
It runs standard SIP (RFC 3261) and can make a direct IP call without a SIP proxy. It works with hosted SIP services and IP PBX systems. Check with your provider to confirm.
The color LCD shows 320 x 240 pixels and has a backlight. The stand has two angles, and the phone can hang on a wall. The case is Classic Grey.
