Frequently Asked Questions

What is Wi-Fi 7 Multi-Link Operation (MLO)?

MLO allows Wi-Fi 7 devices to simultaneously connect across multiple frequency bands (e.g., 5GHz and 6GHz at the same time) — reducing latency and improving reliability compared to single-band connections in previous Wi-Fi generations.

Is the EAP772 backward compatible with Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6 devices?

Yes — the EAP772 is backward compatible with Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), and Wi-Fi 6E devices. Wi-Fi 7 features like MLO require Wi-Fi 7 client devices.

Does the EAP772 require an Omada controller?

The EAP772 can be managed via Omada Cloud Controller, Omada Hardware Controller, or Omada Software Controller. Standalone mode may be available — verify with TP-Link's EAP772 documentation.

Whether you are deploying next-generation Wi-Fi 7 for an enterprise office, building a high-density wireless network for education, or upgrading hospitality Wi-Fi with BE9300 performance, the TP-Link Omada EAP772 delivers the Wi-Fi 7 speed, tri-band capacity, and Omada management your wireless network demands.
