The Samsung ML-5515ND (ML5515NDXAA) is a black and white laser printer for letter, legal and A4 paper. It prints up to 55 pages a minute on letter paper and 52 on A4. Automatic two-sided printing is built in, and the first page takes about 7.8 seconds. A 500-sheet ream prints in about 9 minutes at full speed.
Samsung uses a semi-retard roller that picks one sheet at a time. That cuts down on double feeds and jams.

The 40,000-page cartridge lasts four times as long as the standard one, so it needs changing far less often. A starter cartridge of about 10,000 pages comes in the box. The imaging unit is the MLT-R309, rated at about 80,000 pages.
A 520-sheet tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray give you 620 sheets. Add-on trays raise that to 3,660. A 500-sheet bin catches the pages.
A 700 MHz processor and 256 MB of memory run the job. Memory can grow to 768 MB. The printer speaks PCL 5e, PCL 6, PostScript 3, PDF 1.7 and XPS. It also emulates IBM ProPrinter and Epson.
You get USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet and a USB host port for printing from a flash drive. A small 16 x 4 character screen shows status.
It takes plain, thick, thin, bond, recycled, colored and preprinted paper, plus cardstock, labels, envelopes and transparencies. Sizes run up to legal.
The printer measures 18.3 x 21.3 x 16.5 inches and weighs about 69 pounds. It draws about 820 watts while printing and about 4 watts in sleep.
