The Samsung CLX-6240FX (CLX-6240FX/XAA) is a color laser machine that prints, copies, scans and faxes on letter and A4 paper. It is an older office model, so the right cartridges matter. Start with these.

Yields assume 5 percent page coverage. The standard cartridges come with the printer.
It prints up to 25 pages a minute on letter paper and 24 on A4, in color or black. Two-sided printing is automatic. A 50-sheet document feeder scans both sides of a page. The fax modem runs at 33.6 Kbps. Copies can be scaled from 25 to 400 percent, and ID copy and clone copy are built in.
A 250-sheet cassette and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray give you 350 sheets. A second cassette, the CLX-S6240A, is an option.
The machine has 256 MB of memory and takes up to 768 MB. Samsung sold memory kits in three sizes: CLP-MEM101 (128 MB), CLP-MEM102 (256 MB) and CLP-MEM103 (512 MB). An 80 GB hard drive holds stored jobs. The processor runs at 533 MHz, and the printer speaks PostScript 3 and PCL 6.
The color flatbed scanner reads at up to 600 x 1,200 dpi optical, and software can raise that to 4,800 x 4,800 dpi. Copies come out at up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. The monthly duty cycle is up to 80,000 pages, which is plenty for a small team.
