The Polycom VVX 150 (2200-48810-001) is a two-line desk phone for open SIP systems. This part number comes with an AC power supply for North America. You can plug it into a wall outlet or power it over your network.

Do I need PoE?

No. The phone takes 802.3af PoE (Class 2) when your switch offers it. If not, use the power supply in the box. The sister part number, 2200-48810-025, leaves the power supply out.

How many lines?

It has two line keys and two SIP accounts. Four soft keys and a four-way pad handle menus. A message light shows waiting voicemail.

What is the screen like?

It is a 2.5-inch backlit monochrome LCD with 132 x 64 pixels. It shows caller names, menus and the time.

How is the sound?

Poly HD Voice uses G.722 wideband audio on the handset and speaker. The full-duplex speakerphone uses Acoustic Clarity to cut echo. The handset is hearing aid compatible. A dedicated RJ9 jack takes a headset.

Can a computer share the cable?

Yes. Two 10/100 Ethernet ports let a computer plug into the phone. The phone has no USB port.

Which systems does it work with?

It works with hosted SIP services and SIP IP PBX systems. Check with your provider first.

How is it set up?

You set it up through a web page. The menus come in 14 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Korean. The phone is ENERGY STAR rated.

Can it go on a wall?

Yes. The desk base flips over to become a wall mount.
