The Lexmark CS735de (47C9100) is a print-only color laser printer for letter, legal and A4 paper. It prints up to 52 pages a minute in color or black on letter paper (50 on A4), and the first page can be out in about 6 seconds. Lexmark aims it at mid-size and large workgroups.
| Media | Notes |
|---|---|
| Plain paper | Everyday documents |
| Card stock | Index, cover and tag stock |
| Labels | Paper labels and vinyl labels |
| Banner paper | Long sheets |
| Envelopes | Several sizes |
Sizes run from A6 to legal. Lexmark lists index stock up to 110 lb and tag stock up to 125 lb.
Two-sided printing runs at up to 40 sides a minute on letter paper. Print quality reaches 1,200 x 1,200 dpi, and Lexmark's 2400 Color Quality mode gives smoother color. A 1.2 GHz processor and 1 GB of memory run the jobs.
A 550-sheet tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray hold 650 sheets. Optional 550-sheet trays raise the total to 2,850 sheets across up to six inputs. A 300-sheet bin catches the pages.
The box holds four starter cartridges rated at about 5,000 pages each and an imaging unit rated at up to 150,000 pages. Replacement Unison toner reaches up to 22,000 pages in black and 12,500 pages in each color.
A 4.3-inch e-Task color touchscreen works like a tablet. The printer has a Trusted Platform Module for added security. You get USB 2.0, a USB host port and Gigabit Ethernet, and Apple AirPrint is supported.
Lexmark rates the duty cycle at up to 150,000 pages a month and suggests 2,000 to 20,000 pages. The printer is ENERGY STAR qualified.
