The Intel NMB1XXD128GPS is a genuine 128GB Optane Persistent Memory 200 Series module. This is not standard DDR4 RAM. It is byte-addressable persistent memory instead. It keeps its data even after a power loss. It runs at 3200MT/s in a 288-pin DIMM.
Optane PMem works only with servers built to support it. This means specific CPU generations and BIOS settings. A compatible DIMM slot alone is not enough. It installs next to regular DRAM rather than replacing it. The server splits work between the two based on the configured mode.
This module needs a 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable server. It must have Optane PMem 200 support enabled in the BIOS. Dell PowerEdge R650, R750, R750xa, MX750c, and XR11 are common examples. Standard Xeon Scalable support alone is not enough. Always confirm PMem 200 support on your exact model before ordering.
