The IBM 46W0743 is a genuine 64GB DDR3 server memory module. It runs at 1333MHz on the PC3-10600 standard. This module has an ECC Load Reduced design with an octal-rank, x4 layout. It uses a standard 240-pin form factor at 1.35V.
Octal-rank LRDIMM packs eight ranks onto one module using a data buffer chip. This was one of the ways IBM's older System x platforms reached high memory density before DDR4 became standard. The module carries a CL9 latency rating.
This module fits IBM System x servers built for DDR3 Load Reduced memory, including the x3850 X6 and x3950 X6 (Type 3837 and 3839). These systems do not mix RDIMM, LRDIMM, or UDIMM in the same server. Always check your exact model's supported memory list first.
