The HPE P64706-B21 is a genuine 32GB DDR5-5600 memory module for ProLiant Gen11 servers. It runs at PC5-44800 bandwidth with CL46 timings. The module uses Registered signaling. Full ECC protects the data. DDR5 also adds on-die ECC inside each chip, so data gets checked twice, not once. Layout is dual-rank, x8, in a standard 288-pin form at 1.1V. This is HPE's official option part number for new Gen11 memory orders, the same kit listed in HPE's own SmartMemory lineup.

The P64706-B21 fits ProLiant Gen11 rack and tower servers built for DDR5 registered memory. That includes the DL360, DL380, and ML350 Gen11 lines. These run on 4th or 5th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable chips. Real speed still depends on your CPU and on how many DIMMs sit in each channel, so check your exact model first. This is genuine HPE SmartMemory, not a third-party stand-in. Gen11 firmware spots it right away at startup and inside iLO. Memory the server cannot spot this way still works. But it loses the extra health checks and speed gains Gen11 saves for HPE-qualified DIMMs. That matters if you have ever seen a not genuine warning after adding an unlisted stick.
Add this module when a Gen11 server needs more room for virtual machines, a growing database, or heavy analytics work. It also makes a clean swap for a failed 32GB stick. Mixing DIMM speeds is not wrong, but the whole set runs at the slowest module's rating. That is why most server makers suggest matched sets.
