The HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M725z+ (CF069A) is the top model in HP's M725 line, launched in 2013. It is an A3 black and white machine that prints, copies, scans and faxes. Some listings call the CF069A the M725z. HP's name for the CF069A is M725z+, and the plain M725z is the CF068A.
The M725z+ holds 4,100 sheets from the start: a 100-sheet multipurpose tray, two 250-sheet trays, and a 3,500-sheet high-capacity feeder on a cabinet. A ream is 500 sheets, so that is over eight reams. At 41 pages a minute, the big tray alone feeds about 85 minutes of nonstop printing. With options the supply can reach 4,600 sheets.
An in-line stapler sits next to a 500-sheet output bin, so finished sets come out stapled. A standard 250-sheet bin takes loose pages. HP does not offer the in-line stapler on the M725dn or the M725f.
Fax is built in at 33.6 Kbps. A 100-sheet feeder scans at up to 49 pages a minute in black and white and 30 in color on letter paper. An 8-inch color touchscreen runs the menus, and you can preview and edit a scan before you send it. Scan quality reaches 600 x 600 dpi in hardware.
It prints 41 pages a minute on A4 and 40 on letter paper. A3 pages run at up to 20 a minute. Two-sided printing is automatic.
It uses one black cartridge. The box holds an HP 14A (CF214A) rated at about 10,000 pages. The larger HP 14X (CF214X) is rated at about 17,500 pages. The monthly duty cycle is up to 200,000 pages.
