The HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M635fht (7PS98A) is a black and white office machine for letter and legal paper. Fax is built in, and a 550-sheet tray sits in a cabinet that doubles as the stand. These are the facts that matter.
It uses one black cartridge. The box holds an HP 147A (W1470A) rated at about 10,500 pages. The larger HP 147X (W1470X) lasts about 25,200 pages, so it needs changing far less often.
The fht can take one more 550-sheet tray. If you need a bigger supply, look at the HP Flow M635z (7PS99A), which has a different tray setup.
Copies come out at up to 65 pages a minute on letter paper, and the first copy can be out in 4.8 seconds. Scans can be saved as PDF, JPEG, TIFF, XPS or PDF/A files. Two-sided copying runs at up to 50 pages a minute on A4. The scanner and copier share the same 150-sheet feeder.
The back and front panels give you a USB 2.0 device port, two USB host ports (one at the front for walk-up use), and Gigabit Ethernet. A hardware integration pocket holds add-on tools. Apple AirPrint and Mopria printing are supported.
