The HP LaserJet Enterprise M612x (7PS87A) is a print-only black and white laser printer. It has no scanner or copier. It prints up to 75 pages a minute on letter paper and 71 on A4, and it duplexes on its own.

The x model adds a second 550-sheet tray, so it runs far longer between refills.
Two-sided printing runs at up to 58 images a minute. The first page can be out in 5.0 seconds on letter paper. A5 pages reach 115 a minute. Resolution is up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi, and a 1.2 GHz processor drives it. A 4.3-inch touchscreen runs the menus. Print preview, stored jobs and watermarks are built in. An easy-access USB port, once an admin turns it on, lets you print from a flash drive.

The box holds the 147A. HP marks this printer as a dynamic security model, so cartridges with a non-HP chip may not work.
HP suggests 5,000 to 30,000 pages a month in daily use, and it rates the duty cycle at up to 300,000 pages. That fits a busy office that prints reports, invoices and forms all day.
Options include another 550-sheet feeder, a 2,100-sheet high-capacity feeder and an envelope feeder. A 5-bin stapler stacker is also available. Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth are built in.
