The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M578f (7ZU86A) prints, copies, scans and faxes in color on letter, legal and A4 paper. HP says it suits teams of 5 to 15 people who print up to 10,000 pages a month.

All four print up to 40 pages a minute on letter paper and start with 650 sheets. The f adds built-in fax to the dn.
Color and black run at the same speed, 40 pages a minute on letter paper and 38 on A4. A5 pages fed sideways reach 59 a minute. Two-sided printing is automatic. The first page takes about 7 seconds.
A 100-sheet feeder scans both sides in one pass at up to 45 pages a minute in black and 40 in color. The flatbed takes pages up to 8.5 x 14 inches. The 8-inch color touchscreen shows a preview before you send.
A 100-sheet multipurpose tray and a 550-sheet tray give you 650 sheets. HP's options raise the total to 2,300 sheets. A 250-sheet bin catches the pages.

The box holds starter cartridges, about 5,500 pages for black and about 3,500 for each color, plus a waste toner unit. HP marks the printer as a dynamic security model, so cartridges with a non-HP chip may not work.
