The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M681z (J8A13A) is the top model in HP's M681 line. It prints, copies, scans and faxes in color at up to 50 pages a minute on letter paper (47 on A4). The z adds paper trays, a stapler and a keyboard that the other M681 models do not have.

The 2,300 sheets come from a 100-sheet tray plus four 550-sheet trays, three of them on a stand. The 1,000-sheet output comes from a 3-bin stapler and stacker.
The 150-sheet document feeder scans both sides in one pass at up to 180 images a minute on letter paper. HP EveryPage helps catch missed pages. The scanner turns pages upright and crops them, and built-in OCR makes searchable files.
The cartridges in the box are rated at about 12,500 pages for black and about 10,500 for each color. Two sizes of replacement fit.

HP also sells a waste toner unit, P1B94A, rated at up to 100,000 pages.
Printing draws about 900 watts, and the printer idles at 47 watts. It stands 50 inches tall and weighs 168 pounds, so pick its spot before it arrives. The keyboard slides out of the front for typing email addresses and file names.
