The 2.95-inch screen shows 132 x 48 pixels and has no backlight. Two line keys with two-color lights give you two SIP accounts and two call appearances. Three XML soft keys and arrow keys handle menus. The GXP1610 is the same phone without PoE. The GXP1620 adds a backlight and HD sound on the handset.
The speakerphone offers HD audio with full-duplex talk and echo cancellation. A 3-way call lets you add a third person. The phone supports G.711, G.722, G.723, G.726, G.729 A/B and iLBC. In-band and out-of-band DTMF tones work through audio, RFC 2833 and SIP INFO.
Two switched 10/100 Ethernet ports let a computer share the wall jack. Built-in PoE powers the phone through the network cable, so you need no adapter when your switch supports PoE.
An RJ9 jack takes a headset and supports electronic hook switch use with Plantronics headsets.
TLS and SRTP protect calls and accounts. Admins can set phones up with HTTP, HTTPS, TFTP, TR-069 or XML files. The menus support many languages.
The phone stores up to 500 contacts and 200 call history records. The phone book can load from XML or LDAP. It also handles call waiting, call park and pickup and shared line appearance.
The stand sets two angles, and the phone can hang on a wall.
The GXP1615 is part of Grandstream's GXP16 line, which covers the GXP1610, GXP1615, GXP1620, GXP1625, GXP1628 and GXP1630.
It runs standard SIP (RFC 3261). It works with hosted SIP services and IP PBX systems, including Grandstream's UCM series. Check with your provider to confirm.
