Dell's R620 owner's manual lists LRDIMMs up to 1,536GB, which is 24 slots of 64GB. Twelve modules give 768GB. Eight give 512GB.
The module has eight ranks of x4 memory chips. A server would struggle to drive that many ranks directly. The buffer chips on an LRDIMM hide the load, so the server sees a simpler module and can hold more of them in each channel. The trade is a little extra latency and some added power.
Dell lists LRDIMM support on the R620 with 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB sizes, in single-, dual-, quad-, and octal-rank forms. G2K02 is the 64GB octal-rank module.
Some listings copy a standard module template. G2K02 is a load-reduced, low-voltage module, so the PC3L tag and 1.35V are the ones to trust.
