The Cisco IP Phone 7821 (CP-7821-3PCC-K9) is a two-line desk phone with a 3.5-inch screen. The 3PCC in the part number means it comes with Cisco multiplatform phone firmware. That firmware lets the phone work with approved third-party call systems, not only Cisco's own.

The phone supports two lines, using two SIP registrations. The 3.5-inch grayscale screen shows 396 x 162 pixels and has a white backlight. The screen gives scrollable access to calling features and text-based XML apps. Cisco makes the 7821 in charcoal and white.
Cisco built the 7800 series for wideband audio. The multiplatform firmware supports these codecs: G.711 (A-law and mu-law), G.722, G.722.2, G.729ab, iLBC, iSAC and Opus. It carries tones in-band, by RFC 2833, or by SIP INFO. It also reports MOS call quality scores.
Two RJ-45 ports run at 10/100. One goes to the network and the other to a computer. The phone does not have gigabit ports. Cisco's 7841 is the model in the 7800 line with gigabit.
The phone takes 802.3af PoE (Class 1) and uses no more than 3.84 W. Cisco's Power Cube 3 is the standard choice for desks without PoE, and Cisco's power injector, CP-PWR-INJ, also works. The input rating is 0.42 A at 48 V DC. The phone is ENERGY STAR certified.
The 7821 sits between the one-line 7811 and the four-line 7841. The case is textured polycarbonate ABS plastic. The phone weighs 867 g and works at 32 to 104 F.
Cisco also lists a Trade Agreement Act version and a remote setup version of the same phone. Ask the seller which one you get.
