The Cisco IP Phone 7811 (CP-7811-K9) is the one-line phone in Cisco's 7800 series. It runs Cisco call control firmware, so it works with Cisco Unified Communications Manager. Cisco sells a separate multiplatform version, CP-7811-3PCC-K9, for third-party systems.

The 7811 comes in charcoal only. The other three come in charcoal and white.
The 3.28-inch greyscale screen shows 384 x 106 pixels. It has no backlight. It gives scrollable access to calling features and text-based XML apps.
The 7811 fits desks that need one line, such as a lobby or a shared hallway phone. Pick the 7821 or higher for more lines. With no backlight, the screen reads best in a lit room.
Cisco says the 7811 and 7821 need a basic User Connect License to connect to Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
Cisco built the 7800 series for wideband audio, so voices come across clearly on calls.
Two RJ-45 ports run at 10/100. One goes to the network and the other to a computer.
The phone takes 802.3af PoE (Class 1) and uses no more than 3.84 W. The input rating is 0.42 A at 48 V DC. For desks without PoE, Cisco's Power Cube 3 or the CP-PWR-INJ power injector works. The phone is ENERGY STAR certified.
Cisco says each phone in the series supports PoE Class 1 and EnergyWise, so an admin can manage power. Only the 7841 has gigabit ports.
The case is textured plastic, polycarbonate ABS. The phone weighs 806 g and works at 32 to 104 F.
