The Cisco IP Phone 8861 (CP-8861-3PCC-K9) is a SIP desk phone with a 5-inch color screen, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The 3PCC in the part number means it carries Cisco multiplatform firmware. It works with approved third-party SIP platforms. It does not work with Cisco call control.

The widescreen shows 800 x 480 pixels in 24-bit color with a backlight. Five programmable line keys and four soft keys handle calls. Fixed keys cover conference, transfer, hold, apps, directories and messages. XML apps run on the screen.
The handset and speakerphone use wideband audio. For headsets, the phone has an RJ-9 port, an electronic hook switch connection, USB and Bluetooth. A 3.5 mm audio output sits on the back.
Wi-Fi runs on the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, so a desk can sit away from a wall jack. Bluetooth 3.0 EDR reaches up to 66 ft (20 m) and pairs headsets and mobile phones. The 8851 has no Wi-Fi, which is the main difference.
Two USB ports take wired or wireless headsets and can charge a mobile device.
The phone takes up to two CP-BEKEM-3PCC modules or up to three CP-8800-A-KEM-3PC modules.
PoE (802.3af) powers the phone. A PoE injector or the Cisco Power Cube 4 is an option, sold separately. The phone has a two-position foot stand. It can hang on a wall with Cisco's wall mount kit.
You get the phone, a handset with cord, a desk stand and a network cable. An AC power supply is not included. Cisco's multiplatform firmware suits open SIP systems and hosted voice platforms.
