It is a full-size 3.5-inch drive that spins at 7200 RPM and links at 12Gb/s. HPE's spare number for it is P25245-001, and one of its model codes is MB016000JWZHE.

Smart Carrier or Low Profile?

HPE sells this 16TB drive two ways. P23863-B21, with spare P25247-001, comes in the Smart Carrier. P23608-B21, this one, comes in the Low Profile carrier. The drive inside is the same. The carrier is not.

The Low Profile version is the one made for newer ProLiant models, including certain Gen10 Plus and Gen11 servers. Older Gen8 to Gen10 bays use Smart Carriers.
